**Job Summary**

ELLSWORTH CONSTRUCTION LLC is seeking a skilled Asphalt Paver Operator to join our team. As a key member of our construction crew, you will be responsible for operating heavy equipment, ensuring safe and efficient paving operations, and maintaining a high level of quality in our work.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Perform pre-start inspections and maintenance procedures on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Operate asphalt pavers, monitoring material flow and directing truck operators as needed to maintain a smooth and consistent paving process.
  • Adjust material flow and machine alignment to achieve the desired paving results.
  • Clean equipment thoroughly after each use to prevent material from hardening.
  • Collaborate with other operators to ensure seamless communication and adjustments during paving operations.
  • Identify and report safety hazards to supervisors and take necessary precautions to maintain a safe working environment.

**Requirements:**

  • Ability to meet all safety requirements and wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills to work effectively with diverse groups of people.
  • Ability to follow directions and complete daily tasks and expectations for each specific job site.
  • Must be able to work overtime and travel as required, with occasional overnight travel.
  • Must report to work at designated start times and maintain a professional attitude towards coworkers, supervisors, and the general public.

**Physical Demands:**

  • Work in a variety of weather conditions with exposure to outdoor elements.
  • Lift and carry 5-25 lbs. frequently, 25-50 lbs. often, and occasionally lift heavier loads with assistance.
  • Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, and stand to operate equipment for extended periods.
  • Consistent physical effort, including standing, shoveling, or walking for a minimum of 8 hours per day without fatiguing.
