Role Description:
The Department of Psychiatry at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospitals invites applications for the position of Senior Psychiatrist, focusing on pediatric psychiatric services. We are looking for professionals who are dedicated to enhancing the mental health of our young patients through both inpatient and outpatient care.
Qualifications:
Candidates must possess the following qualifications:
- MD or equivalent, with board certification or eligibility in psychiatry, and a valid medical license to practice in California.
- Proven clinical, educational, and administrative expertise, demonstrating a strong commitment to an academic career as a clinician-educator.
- Cultural competence in working with diverse and underserved populations.
- All application materials must clearly outline current and/or pending qualifications.
- Candidates must fulfill all requirements by the time of hire.
Key Responsibilities:
The Senior Psychiatrist will be responsible for:
- Delivering inpatient and/or consultation-liaison psychiatric services.
- Providing outpatient services, including supervision of psychiatry residents and direct clinical care.
- Engaging in teaching, supervision, and assessment of trainees.
- Contributing to innovation and continuous improvement in clinical and educational programs.
- Participating in departmental, university, and community service initiatives.
