Overview

Presbyterian Homes & Services is looking for a dedicated Housing Counselor to enhance our team.

The Housing Counselor serves as the face of Presbyterian Homes & Services, engaging with the community to fulfill our sales and marketing objectives.

This role is pivotal in guiding potential residents and their families through our diverse senior living offerings.


Reporting Structure:
The Housing Counselor will report directly to the Site Leader and will collaborate closely with the PHS Sales and Marketing teams.
About This Community

Mill Pond is a beautifully landscaped community located in Ankeny, Iowa, offering a serene environment for our residents.

Our facility provides a comprehensive range of services, including Senior Apartments, Assisted Living, Memory Care, and Care Center options, catering to over 200 residents.
Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Develop and implement marketing strategies tailored to the site, in collaboration with site leadership and PHS Sales and Marketing.


  • Identify target audiences and execute plans to achieve marketing objectives.
  • Establish a community networking initiative that includes meetings and presentations to showcase our services.
  • Act as the primary representative for sales and marketing at the site.
  • Provide comprehensive information regarding service availability, pricing, and financial assistance to all inquiries.
  • Respond to inquiries, conduct facility tours, and support prospective customers throughout their decision-making journey.
  • Maintain accurate records of inquiries and leads using our designated management system.
  • Coordinate marketing efforts with site staff according to established timelines.
  • Assist residents and their families with pre-admission processes, including reservation agreements.
  • Ensure a seamless transition of admissions processes to site staff.
Qualifications

MINIMUM Qualifications: A college degree in social work, gerontology, marketing, human services, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Experience in senior housing or healthcare environments is preferred.
Sales experience is a plus.
Understanding of fundamental sales and marketing principles is essential.
Ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail.
Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Proficiency in English for effective communication with all stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software.
Team-oriented with a willingness to accept direction and responsibility for achieving goals.

Flexibility for occasional weekend or evening hours is required, along with personal integrity and the ability to engage effectively with residents, families, and the public.
