Job Overview

Codeworks L.L.C is seeking a skilled Data Center Operations Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for managing inventory, handling hardware decommissioning, and providing hands-on support in large-scale data center environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage inventory of network equipment and ship to field offices.
  • Decommission and properly dispose of returned hardware.
  • Provide remote-hands support to data center customers.
  • Respond to and resolve support tickets in the system.
  • Provide Level 1 network support, including testing and cleaning fiber and copper cables.
  • Replace SFPs and other hardware as needed.
  • Install and maintain structured cabling systems.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of fiber and copper cabling.
  • Quote and order materials to support data center build-outs and capacity expansion.
  • Perform rack-and-stack of IT hardware.
  • Document issues and maintain records in the DCIM system (Netterrain).
  • Monitor and respond to abnormal conditions in the data center's facilities systems.
Requirements
  • Experience working in large-scale data center environments.
  • Familiarity with data center infrastructure management tools (DCIM), preferably Netterrain.
  • Experience with ServiceNow, ServiceNow ATF, and ITSM systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with cable installation and network troubleshooting.
