Job Overview

Position Summary
National Power is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Electrician to fulfill a critical role in our operations. This position involves leading electrical tasks related to the installation, modification, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, fixtures, and equipment for our clientele. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to independently evaluate job requirements based on schematics or blueprints, while also being capable of executing tasks as directed through written and verbal instructions.


Key Responsibilities
The primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Installation, repair, and servicing of electrical systems
  • Sourcing or fabricating replacement electrical components
  • Understanding the National Electrical Code (NEC) and interpreting blueprints for task execution
  • Supervising and mentoring junior electricians as needed
  • Acquiring necessary tools, equipment, and materials for projects
  • Testing and troubleshooting electrical systems
  • Providing support during emergency situations
  • Maintaining project documentation and preparing relevant reports

Eligibility Criteria
Qualified candidates must possess the ability and willingness to:

  • Travel extensively as required
  • Lift a minimum of 40 lbs
  • Push or pull cables weighing up to 60 lbs
  • Climb ladders up to 8 ft
  • Stand or work on ladders for extended periods
  • Stand continuously and frequently reach at various levels
  • Bend, twist, crouch, or squat as necessary
  • Work in environments with moderate noise and temperature variations

Qualifications
Candidates should have:

  • A High School Diploma or GED
  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in commercial electrical work (experience in telecommunications is advantageous)
