Job Overview: Key Responsibilities

Primary Objective

Generates standard and specialized financial documents (e.g., balance sheets, income statements) in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Conducts financial evaluations for reporting to management and external agencies. Supplies business insights to facilitate management decision-making or to comply with regulatory agency reporting obligations.

Core Duties and Responsibilities

Compiles and assesses financial statements, schedules, and data requests for both internal and external stakeholders.

Addresses accounting inquiries or challenges and offers solutions.

Collaborates with other departments and affiliates to ensure timely information exchange.

Contributes to the analysis of special projects within the accounting department or in partnership with other departments.

Accurately prepares journal entries within specified deadlines.

Conducts account reconciliations and analyses.

Adheres to internal controls and Sarbanes-Oxley regulations concerning accounting and financial systems.

Provides operational personnel and management with accounting support and analysis on projects as necessary to guarantee that all reports are accurate and timely.

Ensures compliance with all aspects of the position; understands and follows all applicable policies, codes, and regulations.

Performs additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Essential Education, Skills, and Environment

Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in accounting or a related discipline and 0 to 2 years of relevant experience. If the degree is in a related field, completion of college-level accounting coursework is required for Nevada CPAs.

Specialized Knowledge and Skills

Demonstrated understanding of:

  • Accounting principles and GAAP.

Proven skills such as:

  • Attention to detail.
  • Problem-solving, research, communication, analytical, decision-making, and organizational abilities.
  • Capability to establish and maintain effective relationships with colleagues.

Tools and Applications
Proficient in PCs, financial spreadsheets, word processing, databases, and accounting software.

Work Environment and Physical Demands
Standard office setting. Consistent workload levels throughout the month. No special physical requirements necessary.

Compensation

Annual Salary: $66,300 (Minimum) to $78,000 (Mid); Eligible for up to 10% Short Term Incentive Plan at the company's discretion. This is a non-represented position.
