Job Overview

SUMMARY

Vector Talent Solutions is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee and manage all maintenance activities across the facility. This role encompasses the installation, preventive measures, and repair work necessary to ensure the functionality of all buildings, equipment, and grounds. The Maintenance Supervisor will set objectives, delegate tasks, and foster a productive work environment while adhering to safety and compliance regulations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Plan, assign, and supervise maintenance tasks, guiding a team of 2-3 technicians in their daily operations.
  • Coordinate and ensure the execution of corrective and preventive maintenance in line with established procedures and budgetary constraints.
  • Maintain major equipment and furnishings in a safe and operational state, facilitating replacements as necessary.
  • Oversee the upkeep and repair of both internal and external building structures.
  • Collaborate with external contractors for inspections and repairs of facilities and equipment.
  • Report any concerns regarding facilities and equipment to senior management.
  • Work with management to address operational challenges and propose improvements to current practices.
  • Ensure compliance with company safety standards to maintain a secure working environment.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned, including hands-on work alongside technicians.
  • Source and procure repair parts efficiently, minimizing downtime.
  • Respond promptly to equipment failures in a high-production environment.
  • Maintain the MP2 maintenance database for accurate record-keeping.
  • Possess knowledge and experience in electrical and hydraulic systems.
  • Establish and manage an organized inventory of repair parts.

  • Ability to interpret work instructions, manuals, and schematics effectively.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills, capable of managing multiple tasks.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office or similar software necessary for task completion.
  • Capable of working collaboratively as part of a team or independently.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to motivate and guide team members towards achieving goals.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in mathematics, reading, and writing.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A minimum of 4-5 years of relevant maintenance experience, including formal training and demonstrated skills in equipment and facilities repair.
  • Prior supervisory experience is preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Must be capable of lifting and moving objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to walk, kneel, bend, and utilize ladders or stools.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Ability to climb stairs and ladders, and work from elevated platforms.
  • Must be able to operate a forklift, scissor lift, or pallet jack as needed.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination is essential.
  • Ability to distinguish between sizes, shapes, and colors for material identification.
  • Compliance with personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements is mandatory.
