Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering safe patient care, utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.

Direct patient care is provided within the scope of practice, and the Registered Nurse directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel.

The Registered Nurse is directly responsible and accountable for the care given to their assigned patients, communicating with physicians about changes in clinical condition, including cardiac monitoring, results of diagnostic studies, and symptomatology.

Qualifications

Current and valid state RN license, current BLS certificate, and ACLS certificate (30 days upon hire and maintain current) are required.

Previous acute care hospital experience and ventilator management experience are preferred.
