This position is responsible for providing unscheduled and miscellaneous maintenance to the University of Kentucky's facilities, as well as routine maintenance of building and electrical/mechanical support systems.
Key Responsibilities- Troubleshoot and repair plumbing fixtures and minor HVAC issues, including air handling units, reheat coils, thermostats, and valves.
- Repair and maintain mechanical/architectural products, including locksets and door hardware, wastewater piping systems, and electrical motors.
- Perform minor repairs to fire alarm systems, nurse call systems, medical gas systems, and automatic doors.
- Assist with minor roofing problems, steam system issues, pump problems, and ice machine malfunctions.
- Experience with building and equipment maintenance.
- Ability to work different shifts and overtime as needed.
- Preferred education/experience: HVAC troubleshooting and repair experience, driver's license.
