Job Summary

We are seeking a mechanical engineer to perform tasks on the construction of a new embassy compound. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of International Codes and experience in construction management.

Responsibilities
  • Develop a working knowledge of all technical requirements of the project.
  • Provide Quality Assurance for ongoing construction projects.
  • Review contractor submittals and prepare responses to Requests for Information (RFI).
  • Evaluate proposed submittal substitutions with engineering implications.
  • Coordinate the development of Independent Government Estimates (IGEs) for modifications and change orders.
  • Review and evaluate design calculations and data from an engineering perspective.
  • Prepare Monthly Progress Reports summarizing project status, with emphasis on engineering.
  • Review contractor's Requests for Equitable Adjustment and formulate written recommendations.
Requirements
  • ABET accredited Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or active P.E. from the U.S.
  • Active Secret U.S. clearance.
  • 7+ years of construction management experience.
