About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Part-Time Sales Associate to join our team at our Columbia Gorge location. As a Pendleton Ambassador, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, driving sales, and maintaining a visually appealing store environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support sales and profitability through product knowledge, exceptional customer service, and sales techniques.
  • Maintain store visual objectives and housekeeping expectations to ensure a positive customer experience.
  • Monitor store email and respond to business-critical directives in a timely manner.
  • Provide positive feedback and encouragement to promote positive selling and customer service behaviors.
  • Communicate effectively with store management and team members to ensure seamless operations.
  • Responsible for shift opening and closing store functions, ensuring the store is prepared and secured.
  • Creates and executes daily planners, communicating expectations with staff and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Completes sales transactions efficiently and escalates store issues in a timely manner.
  • Other tasks as assigned by management.
Requirements
  • Self-motivated, sales-driven, and prioritizes customer service.
  • Supports a team environment and effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective problem-solving skills and ability to work a flexible schedule, including holidays, nights, and weekends.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with store employees, management, and customers.
  • Maintain calm and poised in stressful situations, knowing when to partner for support.
  • Solution-oriented, bringing challenges to a positive conclusion and partnering with store management to find solutions for improvements.
Qualifications
  • 2 years of retail sales or customer service experience, including a minimum of 1 year of shift supervision.
  • Must practice effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
System Requirements
  • Microsoft Office email.
  • Retail inventory software.
  • Understand the POS system and other software used by the stores.
Physical Demands and Working Environment
  • Flexible schedule with nights, holidays, and weekend shifts per scheduling guidelines.
  • Physical dexterity and stamina to reach and lift to complete visual presentations and/or store set up.
  • Ability to lift up to 40lbs.
  • Reaching arms over head, ladder use, computer operation, continuous standing and walking, hand coordination, telephone use, speaking, reading, writing.
