  • Productivity Improvement: Define and implement productivity, scrap, and cost improvement projects to optimize manufacturing processes.
  • Performance Metrics: Implement and sustain performance metrics to measure and improve manufacturing performance.
  • Leadership and Vision: Establish a clear vision for areas assigned, aligning with the site and corporation vision, and leveraging technology to improve performance, service, and quality.
  • Resource Management: Manage personnel and capital resources to optimize systems and methods, balancing labor and expense budgets.
  • Scheduling and Maintenance: Schedule resources to ensure efficient operation of equipment and planned maintenance of equipment.
  • Employee Engagement: Create a climate that promotes ownership and continuous improvement, actively engaging employees on the manufacturing floor.
  • Performance Reviews: Conduct performance reviews to grow employee skills and value.
  • Project Management: Oversee multiple projects and maintain progress through the efforts of the team.
  • Onboarding and Training: Ensure onboarding and training activities are completed and reviewed with employees.
  • Work Instructions: Lead employee-owned work instructions to ensure consistent and reliable operations.
  • Annual Performance Plan: Develop and execute an annual performance plan to achieve business goals for the site.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma required, Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Experience: 5-10 years of work experience in a manufacturing environment, 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Skills: Interpersonal skills necessary to foster cooperation and effective communication, computer skills to manage email, shop floor data, and other records.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to walk and stand to navigate the manufacturing site, occasional bending, stooping, and climbing, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
