About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join Smart Data Solutions LLC as a Technical Infrastructure Strategist. We are seeking a highly skilled professional to lead the design and architecture of our on-premise technical infrastructure stack, ensuring alignment with our overall technology strategy.

As a key member of our team, you will participate in the design, planning, and execution of cloud migration and data warehousing strategies. Your expertise will be invaluable in executing projects to eliminate technical debt and create reliable, available, and resilient systems.

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of Unix-like operating systems and Windows operating systems, as well as experience with MySQL relational databases. Additionally, they will possess a deep understanding of storage concepts and technologies, including Storage Area Networks, iSCSI, ZFS, and RAID. Strong security best practices, including web application security, database security, and network security, are also essential.

We are looking for a detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills, who can effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Key Responsibilities

- Lead the design and architecture of our on-premise technical infrastructure stack
- Participate in the design, planning, and execution of cloud migration and data warehousing strategies
- Execute projects to eliminate technical debt and create reliable, available, and resilient systems
- Ensure data integrity, security, and performance optimization of relational databases
- Establish and improve environment-wide monitoring to alert engineering teams of performance and availability problems

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in technical infrastructure management or a related role
- Expert-level proficiency with Debian Linux and Windows operating systems
- Strong knowledge and experience with MySQL relational databases, including replication, scaling, and partitioning
- Experience with Microsoft 365 and Microsoft licensing
