Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled Subsea Installation Analysis Engineer to join our Engineering division. This role involves collaborating with the Project Engineering team on significant Offshore EPCI Projects. The Installation Analysis Engineer will report to the Installation Analysis Lead Engineer or Installation Methods Lead Engineer, ensuring that all analyses comply with industry codes, company standards, and client specifications while establishing installation acceptance criteria. The successful candidate will be engaged in various projects and tenders, delivering high-caliber engineering solutions that align with both commercial and technical requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Installation Method Engineer to conduct subsea installation engineering analyses for rigid pipelines and risers, including J-Lay and Reeling methods, as well as flexible pipeline and riser installations.
- Perform assessments of product behavior during installation, focusing on strength and fatigue analyses.
- Conduct analyses for riser and dynamic umbilical systems.
- Oversee various subsea structure installation activities.
- Provide offshore support for ongoing installation operations.
- Prepare essential technical project documentation, including premises reports, installation lay-tables, and analysis reports.
- Review and verify installation analysis work and documentation.
- Coordinate with other engineering and operations teams to gather input data, agree on installation methodologies, and offer technical support during client reviews and hazard identification sessions.
- Address client feedback on project documentation and resolve any analytical concerns.
Qualifications
- A minimum of an undergraduate degree in engineering (Subsea, Structural, Mechanical, Civil, etc.) from an accredited institution.
- At least 3-5 years of relevant experience in the offshore oil and gas industry.
- Proficiency in design and analysis software, particularly ORCAFLEX, with additional knowledge of programming languages such as MATLAB and Python being advantageous.
- Strong understanding of industry standards (DNV, API).
- A commitment to conducting analytical work with efficiency and precision.
- Excellent technical and interpersonal skills.
- A demonstrated dedication to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) practices and quality assurance.
