POSITION OVERVIEW
The Fullerton Elementary School District is in search of a dedicated professional for a full-time managerial role within our Nutrition Services department.

The Nutrition Services Supervisor operates under the general supervision of the Director of Nutrition Services, responsible for planning, coordinating, supervising, and managing the scheduling and execution of Nutrition Service operations at the District Nutrition Center and various schools. This role also involves the planning, development, and preparation of nutritionally balanced and cost-effective menus tailored for students.

This position typically requires working hours from 7 A.M. to 3:30 P.M. and is classified as an exempt management role, entailing a 40-hour work week over 12 months, along with benefits including paid holidays, sick leave, and vacation.

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND & EXPERIENCE

  • A Bachelor's degree in dietetics, nutrition, food science, public health, or a closely related discipline is mandatory.
  • Preferred candidates will hold active Registered Dietician status.

Professional Experience:

  • A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in menu planning and managing special diets within school or institutional Nutrition Services, including at least one year in a leadership role, is essential.
  • Additional educational qualifications in a related field may substitute for one year of required experience.

Licensing Requirements:

  • Possession of a valid Class C California Driver's License and proof of insurability is required.
  • A valid California food manager certification is also necessary.

Additional Information:

  • The role necessitates the operation of a District vehicle.
  • All candidates must provide a recent DMV printout reflecting their driving records for the past 10 years.

RECRUITMENT PROCESS
This recruitment is a combined promotional and open competitive process. The evaluation will consist of a training and experience assessment, along with a structured oral interview.

To be eligible for the list, candidates must achieve a passing score in all examination components. Final scores will be determined by the weighted scores from each examination part.

If claiming Veteran's credit, proof of status must be submitted alongside the application or prior to testing.

The eligibility list will remain active for twelve months and will be utilized to fill current and future openings.
