As the Senior Manager of Airport Finance, you will be responsible for managing the airport's accounting and financial reporting activities, including accounting, general ledger, financial statement preparation, treasury, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.


The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, exceptional business acumen, and the confidence to provide strategic financial guidance to senior leadership. This role requires a strategic thinker who is comfortable challenging assumptions, influencing decision-making, and driving financial initiatives across the organization.


Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the Money Room Team to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the money room and cash reporting.
  • Ensure the accuracy and maintain integrity of the crew/overshort policy.
  • Review cash settlement reports for accuracy and investigate any discrepancies.
  • Work closely with Senior Leadership to create analytics on key financial metrics to improve profitability.
  • Oversee the Accounting Team, ensuring that all invoices are entered into the system and sent to corporate for payment by the deadline.
  • Analyze and accurately report daily, weekly financial results to the region, sales, and corporate management in accordance with company format and time requirements.
  • Ensure accuracy of physical inventory and reported results.
  • Perform audits of invoices and products to ensure that the cost is accurate and accounted for properly.
  • Prepare weekly/monthly forecasts and expense budgets.
  • Manage the United enplanements for different airports.


Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
  • 5-10 years as controller or cost manager in a hospitality/food and beverage/retail environment, managing a staff, with an emphasis on accounting, revenue reporting, and variance analysis.
  • Demonstrated leadership as part of a cross-functional management team.
  • Proven ability to manage and develop staff.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Sound planning and organizational skills.
  • High level of proficiency in spreadsheets and accounting systems.
