Job Summary

As a Registered Nurse with WellStar Health System, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and patient-centered environment. Our team is dedicated to providing high-quality care to our patients, and we are seeking a skilled and compassionate nurse to join our team.

Responsibilities

• Perform the Nursing Process (assessment, diagnosis, identification of outcomes, planning, implementation, and evaluation) in the performance of clinical care using evidence-based practice.
• Provide relationship-based patient-centered care that is consistent with population-specific characteristics.
• Partner with patients and significant others to set and achieve patient goals.
• Practice using current clinical practice standards.

Teamwork and Collaboration

• Coordinate the delivery and documentation of safe quality patient care that promotes the professional care delivery model.
• Demonstrate teamwork and collaboration by practicing in a manner that is fiscally responsible and promotes the recruitment and retention of all healthcare team members.
• Participate in performance improvement, research, and research utilization to promote safe, quality patient care.

Professional Development and Initiative

• Complete all initial and ongoing professional competency assessments, required mandatory education, and population-specific education.
• Serve as a preceptor and/or mentor for other professional nurses to ensure a current and future qualified workforce.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in nursing or Graduate of accredited/approved school of nursing required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Less than 1 year completion of accredited/approved school of nursing with requisition clinical hours required.
• Direct patient care experience preferred.
• Required Minimum License(s) and Certification(s): Reg Nurse (Single State) required, RN - Multi-state Compact required, Basic Life Support required, BLS - Instructor required, BLS - Provisional required, Advanced Cardiac Life Support required, ACLS - Instructor required, ACLS - Provisional required.
