Kable Staffing is actively seeking a skilled Manual Machinist specializing in Roll Grinding. This role offers a full-time, temp-to-hire opportunity.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:- Utilize manual machining tools, including lathes, milling machines, and grinders, to accurately shape metal and plastic components.
- Interpret blueprints and technical schematics to ascertain the specifications and tolerances required for each workpiece.
- Select the correct tools, machinery, and materials for each task based on detailed job specifications.
- Conduct routine maintenance on manual machining equipment, ensuring cleanliness, lubrication, and minor repairs for optimal performance.
- Employ precision instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges to measure and inspect finished components, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
- High school diploma or equivalent, complemented by vocational training in machining.
- Trade school certification is preferred.
- A minimum of 2 years of machinist experience or possession of a machinist certificate is desirable.
- Ability to work in a standing position for extended periods.
- Capability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Basic mathematical skills and the ability to follow instructions from supervisors.
- Proficiency in reading measuring instruments, including pi tapes, tape measures, and micrometers.
