This role is eligible for a competitive sign-on bonus.

This position has a float differential and variable shifts.

The pay range is $38 - $53.82 based on direct and relevant experience.

RAYUS Radiology is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team. As a Float MRI Technologist, you will operate an MRI scanner to produce images of the patient's body for diagnostic purposes at multiple centers within the market. You will provide leadership and technical support to MRI services, ensuring that services are provided within professional standards and with excellent customer service.

This position is full-time with varying shifts that need to be covered.

Key Responsibilities:

(75%) Patient Imaging

  • Perform routine and advanced MRI procedures on designated portions of the body for use by physicians in the diagnosing and treating of patient illness and/or injury with minimal amount of supervision or repeats
  • Screen patients before exams for any precautions or contraindications pertaining to the examination
  • Prepare patients for MR procedures, explaining the procedure, positioning patients so that the parts of the body can be appropriately scanned, and providing patient support by talking to patients throughout the procedure
  • Adjust scan parameters correctly and as needed
  • Maintain positive attitudes and working relationships with radiologists, referring customers, and other associates and peers
  • Converse with doctors, nurses, patients, and family members as required
  • Follow physicians' orders precisely and conform to safety regulations to protect themselves, their patients, and coworkers
  • Accurately maintain patient records within the Radiology Information System (RIS)
  • Maintain an orderly and clean work area, promoting good safety habits for patients and coworkers

(20%) Imaging Support

  • Maintain equipment in good working order; clean and disinfect equipment after each use
  • Assist with maintaining an updated MRI protocol manual and software upgrades
  • Monitor medical supply inventory
  • Assist with training of new associates, providing resources and technical expertise

(5%) Perform other duties as assigned
