Position Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) plays a vital role in delivering personalized nursing care to residents through the nursing process, which includes assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Collaborates with residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams to create, execute, and assess care plans.Exhibits proficiency and operates within the complete scope of nursing knowledge, adhering to age and population-specific standards relevant to their clinical environment.
Responsible for comprehensive care that encompasses preventive measures, health maintenance, diagnosis, and treatment. Duties include coordinating care, conducting resident assessments, providing education, and executing various nursing interventions.May assume the role of charge nurse, delegating appropriate tasks to licensed and unlicensed personnel based on job descriptions, skill sets, resident care needs, and competency levels.
Ensures adequate support and guidance to delegates to promote safe and effective resident care while addressing any care and service concerns.
Adheres to the standards of nursing practice as defined by the Nurse Practice Act and Administrative Rules in the state of practice and licensure.
The Professional Nursing Practice acknowledges the Scope and Standards of Practice and the Code of Ethics for Nurses as established by the American Nurses Association, serving as the foundation for nursing care delivery and professional behavior.
Qualifications
Graduation from a nationally accredited nursing program is preferred, including but not limited to, the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA).
A Bachelor’s Degree in nursing is preferred.Must possess an unencumbered RN license from the State Board of Nursing where nursing practice occurs and/or maintain multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state.
Required to obtain and maintain department-specific competencies and certifications.Benefits
