UDR Inc is seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Union Doorman to join our team at View 34, a premier apartment community in New York, NY.

Job Summary:

The Union Doorman will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to residents, guests, and delivery personnel, while maintaining a clean and welcoming environment at the community entrance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist delivery personnel, guests, and residents with access to the community.
  • Provide excellent customer relationship management, ensuring a positive experience for all visitors.
  • Keep the front sidewalk and entry swept and clean.
  • Offer assistance with hailing taxis for residents as needed.
  • Provide additional services, such as coordinating dry cleaning, arranging transportation, and more.
  • Manage and maintain the package room, ensuring timely delivery of packages to residents.
  • Document key policy and process, providing keys to residents and contractors as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or necessary.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum one year experience as a concierge, doorman, or in a related customer service role.
  • Preference for experience in hotel properties, rental operations, or upscale service businesses.
  • Active membership in the Union within 30 days of employment.
Working Conditions:

Normal office environment with occasional exposure to outside elements. Regular and consistent attendance is an essential function.
