Overview

Second Harvest Food Bank of North Central Ohio is a leading non-profit organization focused on alleviating hunger and improving lives in our community. As a vital member of our team, you will contribute to achieving our mission by coordinating volunteer programs, managing products, and supporting our volunteers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Program Coordination

Collaborate with operations and program teams to plan, organize, and execute volunteer projects, ensuring successful outcomes and efficient use of resources.

Inventory Management

Oversee product inventory, manage stock levels, and maintain accurate records, while ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.

Volunteer Engagement

Deliver exceptional volunteer experiences, providing orientation, training, and recognition opportunities, as well as maintaining accurate records and communication channels.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Ensure the Volunteer Work Center meets stringent cleaning and maintenance standards, adhering to industry best practices and regulatory requirements.

Administrative Support

Accurately complete administrative tasks, including paperwork, database updates, and effective communication with staff, volunteers, and external partners.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Strong Interpersonal Skills

Exhibit excellent communication, planning, and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.

Technical Abilities

Proficient in Microsoft Office and experienced in operating pallet jacks and forklifts, preferably.

Physical Demands

Able to lift 50 pounds and stand for extended periods, with a valid driver's license.
