Job Title: Data Chapter Leader

As a Data Chapter Leader at Fidelity Investments, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of data engineering and development within our organization. This position requires a unique blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and passion for innovation.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Data Chapter Leader to join our Data Services & Compliance (DSCO) domain. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading a team of data engineers and developers, collaborating with other leaders to establish standards, influencing strategic decisions, and building solutions in your area of expertise.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of data engineers and developers, providing guidance, coaching, and mentorship to help them grow and develop in their knowledge area.
  • Collaborate with other leaders to establish standards for the chapter, influence strategic decisions, and build solutions in your area of expertise.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve the value delivered to our customers, working closely with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in data engineering and development, applying this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement within the organization.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in data engineering and development, with a strong background in data technologies, including structured and unstructured data, relational databases, data movement, and RESTful APIs.
  • Proven experience as an engineering coach and mentor, with a track record of developing emerging leaders to their full potential.
  • Strong technical proficiency in Spring/Spring Boot and Angular front ends, with experience planning development of team capabilities and identifying strategic talent needs.
  • Experience in financial services, particularly in Asset Management, is highly desirable.
