Job Title: Night Shift Caregiver

Are you a compassionate and dedicated individual looking for a meaningful career in caregiving? Comfort Keepers of Summerville, SC is seeking a Night Shift Caregiver to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with activities of daily living.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Provide one-on-one in-home care services, including companion care and personal care, to keep senior clients safe, healthy, and comfortable at home.
  • Assist with grooming and hygiene, mobility, transferring and positioning, toileting and incontinence care, meal preparation and cooking, light housekeeping and laundry, grocery shopping and errands, and medication reminders.
  • Work with clients who have dementia or Alzheimer's, providing specialized care and support.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 6 months of caregiving experience preferred.
  • Ability to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push, and pull, with varied assistance required depending on the client's ability.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs as needed throughout the shift.
  • High level visual and hearing acuity and verbal communication required.
  • Applicants must be bondable and meet or exceed minimum qualifications for criminal background investigation and motor vehicle driving record.
  • Permission to submit to pre-employment, reasonable suspicion, and post-accident drug and alcohol testing.
  • Must have a valid South Carolina Driver's License and reliable transportation.
  • Self-directing with the ability to work with little direct supervision.
  • Empathy for the needs of the clients.
  • Treat clients, families, staff, and the public with courtesy and respect, presenting a positive public image.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ensures confidentiality and security of the client's medical information.
