Job Summary

Western New England University is seeking an Executive Director to establish and manage the first FinTech Incubator in Western Massachusetts. The FinTech Incubator offers services to entrepreneurs, businesses, and academic institutions in the region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote the FinTech Incubator and attract clients.
  • Manage the incubator's operations, including budgeting, staffing, and facility management.
  • Collaborate with university departments and external partners to leverage resources and expertise.
  • Provide guidance and support to incubator clients, including access to mentorship, networking opportunities, and funding resources.
  • Monitor and evaluate the incubator's performance, making adjustments as needed to ensure its success.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as business, finance, or technology.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a related field, including sales, marketing, or project management.
  • Proven track record of success in developing and implementing business strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, partners, and university stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on results and customer satisfaction.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • Project management certification, such as PMP.
  • Experience working in a higher education setting or with startups.
  • Knowledge of FinTech, analytics, finance, and/or AI.
