Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud System Engineer to support our growing Cloud Services practice. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience administering cloud technologies and driving strategic initiatives to increase IT efficiency, improve IT delivery, and reduce costs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct cloud administrative duties within a cloud environment, including compute, storage, notification, and queue management, as well as infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Develop and document agile-related artifacts, such as user studies and backlog management activities.
  • Provide guidance on infrastructure movement techniques, including application transfer/migration into the cloud.
  • Develop cloud business best practices and processes.
  • Collaborate with multiple teams and business units to understand business needs and translate them into IT/business capabilities.
  • Participate in UAT and development processes as needed.
Requirements
  • 6+ years of experience administering cloud compute, storage, and infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Experience with coding languages such as Perl, Java, PowerShell, PHP, Ruby, Python, etc.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud services, containerization technologies, and scripting languages.
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services, code-defined infrastructure, configuration management tools, and CI/CD.
  • Experience with AWS Lambda and "Serverless" systems.
  • Experience in large-scale enterprise IT environments.
  • Strong verbal and communication skills, with the ability to work with senior leadership and across organizational teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to explain technical issues in layman's terms.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Federal government experience.
  • Working knowledge of Jira projects, workflows, issue types, permissions, and notifications.
  • 2+ years of experience with Jira, Jira Service Management, Confluence, BitBucket.
  • Preferred certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate, Architect with Google Cloud Platform: Infrastructure.
Education and Experience
  • BS/BA in Computer Science, a Technical Field, or other related disciplines OR 4+ years of experience supporting an AWS.

This position requires the ability to obtain a public trust security clearance.

The base salary range for this position is: $106,703.56 - $150,413.45
