Job Summary

Rutland Regional Medical Center seeks a skilled Perioperative Nurse Manager to lead our perioperative services team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for guiding and supporting nursing staff, ensuring high-quality patient care, and collaborating with other leaders to maintain efficient and effective operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide guidance and support to nursing staff to ensure high-quality patient care and efficient operations.
  • Collaborate with other leaders to develop and implement strategic plans to improve patient outcomes and operational efficiency.
  • Lead the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
  • Manage and oversee the perioperative services budget to ensure effective financial management.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with nursing staff, physicians, and other stakeholders to promote a positive and supportive work environment.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree required; Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or related graduate degree preferred.
  • At least 5 years of experience in nursing in a hospital setting, with 2 years of leadership experience.
  • Licensed in the State of Vermont (RN) and BLS Certification through American Heart Association required.
  • Certified Post Anesthesia Nurse (CPAN) and Certified Ambulatory Perianesthesia Nurse (CAPA) certifications preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong knowledge and skills related to clinical nursing practice.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and a commitment to education as a methodology for promoting continuous quality improvement in the delivery of patient care and services.
  • Effective and timely oral and written communication skills.
  • Clinical program development experience.
  • Basic Microsoft desktop application and navigation skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of financial aspects of department operations, including budget, expenses, variances, etc.
