Medical Assistant Program Educator

Job Summary
This is a full-time, 12-month faculty position requiring a standard workweek of five days, totaling a minimum of 37.5 hours per week at an approved educational site. The educator will be responsible for delivering instruction in both classroom and practical lab settings, ensuring students acquire the necessary knowledge and skills for entry-level roles in the medical assistant field.
Key Responsibilities:
Holistic Student Support
- Exemplify compassionate professionalism to inspire students.
- Recognize diverse learning styles and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
- Integrate various programs and initiatives to enhance the student experience.
- Offer a range of study strategies to broaden students' learning approaches.
- Encourage students to explore and implement different study techniques.
- Monitor student progress to facilitate success.
- Provide access to counseling resources as necessary.
Teaching Excellence and Program Development
- Develop and refine educational programs in response to evolving needs and priorities.
- Offer students opportunities for leadership, social responsibility, and intercultural understanding.
- Utilize effective instructional methods and assessment tools to engage students.
- Ensure that all instructional materials are prepared and available for student use.
Organizational Culture and Inclusivity
- Maintain awareness of institutional goals and their impact on the student experience.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance classroom engagement.
- Participate in faculty assessments and contribute to academic discussions.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant guidelines and internal policies.
Financial Stewardship
- Manage resources in alignment with institutional policies and fiscal realities.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Completion of a one-year diploma program or an associate degree in a relevant medical field.
- A minimum of three years' experience as a medical assistant.
- Proven effectiveness in teaching and familiarity with the MAERB Core Curriculum.
Preferred:
- Demonstrated ability to engage students and adapt to diverse learning needs.
Skills:
- Proficiency in standard office software and virtual communication tools.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, along with problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage challenging situations and foster constructive relationships.
- Experience working with individuals from various backgrounds and skill levels.
