Position Overview

The HVAC Technician 1 exemplifies professionalism through effective communication and appearance, providing exceptional service to our clientele. This role involves delivering portable HVAC systems to customers, showcasing expertise in the operation, maintenance, and repair of all company equipment. Furthermore, this position primarily operates within the workshop to ensure it remains organized, clean, and safe while learning to check in, clean, and prepare equipment for rental, as well as supporting other technical staff on larger projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Engages professionally with customers, management, and sales engineers to coordinate deliveries, pickups, and service requests.
  • Delivers and installs rented HVAC systems, instructing authorized operators (and/or customers) on safe equipment usage.
  • Guides customers in signing necessary documentation; maintains accurate records of serial numbers.
  • Effectively troubleshoots the operation, functionality, specifications, capabilities, and controls of any rental equipment.
  • Safely operates company vehicles and adheres to all safety protocols.
  • Cleans and tests returned equipment, ensuring it meets operational and aesthetic standards.
  • Completes necessary documentation for deliveries, pickups, and service requests.
  • Installs flexible gas hoses for both propane and natural gas applications.
  • Implements safe procedures for checking gas connections.
  • Collaborates with management and sales engineers to maintain precise records and tracking of in-stock and rented equipment.
  • Available for emergency service on a rotating schedule, including weekends and evenings.
Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of experience in a customer service-oriented role.
  • Basic math skills are required.
  • Mechanical aptitude is essential.
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is mandatory.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Willingness to work after hours and weekends during peak periods is necessary.
