Sales Associate for Medical Cannabis

Reports to: General Manager

Position Overview: Under general supervision, Retail Associates offer guidance and support to patients with medical cannabis needs. Associates assist each patient to ensure they receive the appropriate medication tailored to their specific health conditions.

Schedule: Availability to work 20-28 hours weekly, including weekends, in alignment with dispensary hours.

Compensation: $16 per hour

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure all intake forms and documentation are accurately completed and filed, entering necessary information into the database for future reference.
  • Verify patient purchase limits before consultations and communicate these limits to the relevant pharmacist.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by fostering and maintaining positive relationships with customers.
  • Respond to inquiries from customers via calls or emails regarding products, training, and general information.
  • Manage patient records utilizing a medical marijuana database.
  • Update and maintain databases as required.
  • Process customer orders efficiently.
  • Promote and sell all products offered by The Cannabist Company.
  • Establish and uphold a high level of integrity and trust regarding specific products.
Minimum Qualifications (Skills, Knowledge & Abilities):
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Two years of direct customer service experience is required.
  • Retail experience is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with Point-of-Sales systems.
  • Proficient in Windows Operating System and Microsoft Outlook.

FLSA Status: Non-exempt

Additional Requirements:
  • While performing the duties of this position, the employee is required to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods, use hands for manual tasks, and lift or move up to 10 pounds (or more with assistance). Effective verbal communication with co-workers, customers, and vendors is essential. The work environment typically has a moderate noise level.
