Job Summary:

USM is seeking a skilled Web Consultant to support their members with a special project of adding functionality to their established sites. The selected candidate will meet with member stakeholders to help map and implement the solution in a consultative manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and implement websites within the Higher Education vertical.
  • Support the development of design system artifacts and enterprise widgets.
  • Collaborate with technology teams to make their websites more efficient.
  • Establish software development guidelines and perform code and design reviews.
  • Document design and architecture artifacts and present them for architectural review.
  • Implement test-driven development and test automation.
  • Ensure website accessibility.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 7+ years of experience in web development.
  • Expert-level understanding of one or more of the following technologies: SCORM, LTI, Canvas, Slate, Peoplesoft, and Salesforce.
  • Strong knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, DOM, AJAX, CSS/CSS2, XML, XHTML, DHTML, and React.
  • Experience working on Agile teams with a scrum team member attitude.
  • Bachelor's degree and/or other advanced degree(s).
Preferred Skills:
  • Effective communication skills and a strong customer service orientation.
  • Ability to effectively coordinate multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Understanding of modern software engineering principles and practices.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytic skills.
