Munson Healthcare is seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our PRN Flex Team. As a member of our team, you will provide high-quality primary care services to patients in our outpatient clinics, working collaboratively with physicians to promote health and prevent disease.
Key Responsibilities- Manage chronic conditions and acute episodic illnesses, using evidence-based practice
- Perform physical exams, obtain relevant health and medical histories, and identify medical and health risks
- Order, conduct, and interpret diagnostic tests, formulate care plans, and communicate with patients and caregivers
- Prescribe non-pharmacologic and pharmacologic therapies, provide patient education, and make referrals as needed
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, serve as an educational resource for ancillary staff, and maintain accurate electronic records
- Master's Degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant studies
- 2+ years of experience as an APP in outpatient medicine (preferred)
- State of Michigan Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant license, BCLS certification, and ability to obtain clinical privileges through MHC's credentialing processes
