Join Our Team as a Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant
Careage Home Health of King County is seeking a dedicated full-time Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (LPTA) to provide exceptional care to our patients.
Compensation: $43.94 per hour, based on experience
Mileage reimbursement: Available
Role Overview:
A Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant administers therapeutic interventions to patients in their homes, following physician directives and care plans established by the supervising Registered Physical Therapist (PT).
Key Responsibilities:
1. Adhere to established agency policies and procedures.
2. Deliver physician-prescribed physical therapy as outlined in the PT's care plan.
3. Assist in minimizing physical disabilities and enhancing the patient's functional abilities.
4. Collaborate with healthcare professionals in patient care planning.
5. Execute skilled procedures as directed by the physician and PT.
6. Communicate any changes in patient treatment to the PT.
7. Educate patients and their families on home care programs and daily living activities.
8. Participate in in-service training and quality assurance activities as assigned.
9. Maintain accurate medical records and progress notes for each patient visit.
Qualifications:
• Graduate from an accredited two-year Physical Therapy Assistant program.
• Current licensure in the state of practice.
• Preferred: Two years of relevant experience.
• Strong initiative and independent judgment skills.
Work Environment:
• Indoor settings including patient homes and office environments.
• Travel required to/from patient residences.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to engage in physical activities, including heavy lifting and extensive bending.
• Capacity to stand for prolonged periods.
