Atlantic Health System is looking for a per-diem Radiation Therapist to join our Radiation Oncology team. This role involves providing essential treatment to patients during daytime hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer radiation therapy to patients as directed by the Radiation Oncologist.
- Utilize proper immobilization techniques to guarantee precise treatment delivery.
- Assess imaging for technical accuracy.
- Conduct quality assurance checks on the linear accelerator.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of patient treatments in the medical records system and adjust patient schedules as necessary.
- Ensure accurate maintenance of patient and billing records while performing daily quality assurance on the linear accelerator.
Educational Requirements:
- Completion of an accredited Radiation Therapy program.
Experience Requirements:
- Preferred 1-3 years of experience as a Radiation Therapist, though new graduates will be considered. Familiarity with Varian Trilogy, Aria, and Epic systems is advantageous.
Licensure and Certification:
- Must possess a valid NJ Radiation Therapy license and be certified by ARRT.
Essential Qualifications:
- Excellent communication skills are required.
