KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Craft and serve a variety of authentic coffee beverages, espressos, and specialty drinks according to established standards.
  • Warm and serve an assortment of baked goods and quick-service food items.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by providing detailed information about our coffee blends and food offerings.
  • Set up service stations and maintain organized displays, ensuring proper allergen separation.
  • Adhere to FIFO (First In, First Out) standards for food freshness.
  • Prepare coffee beans by weighing, grinding, and packaging them based on customer preferences.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas in compliance with health regulations.
  • Assist across various service counters, showcasing a range of bakery and café products.
  • Operate the cash register accurately, ensuring correct cash handling.
  • Maintain composure and efficiency during peak service times.
  • Follow departmental policies related to quality, health, safety, and sanitation.
  • Exhibit flexibility with scheduling and availability.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
  • Communicate effectively with management regarding any operational issues.
  • Collaborate with the bakery team on sales, inventory, and orders.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Passionate and knowledgeable about coffee, tea, and beverage preparation.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Food Handling License is preferred.
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations and follow production guidelines.
  • Minimum of one year of experience as a barista, preferably with manual espresso machines.
  • High school diploma is preferred.
  • Must demonstrate a strong commitment to success and a proactive attitude.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • Ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance.
  • Capability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds regularly.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Proficient in operating equipment within the café environment.
  • Frequent movement around the café to complete tasks, including bending, lifting, and reaching.
  • Regularly climbing steps as needed.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

Competitive pay starting at $18/hr plus tips.
