Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Fire Extinguisher Technician to join our team at Performance Systems Integration LLC.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fire protection and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Performing inspections, testing, and maintenance of fire extinguishers to ensure compliance with national and local codes and standards.
  • Recording and documenting all inspections, repairs, and discrepancies.
  • Providing customer support and answering questions regarding fire equipment needs.
  • Surveying facilities for fire and safety needs and referencing any requirements needed.
  • Ensuring that all internal and external customers and co-workers receive outstanding service by providing a friendly environment.
  • Adhering to company policies and procedures as well as local, state, and federal regulations and laws.
  • Maintaining punctual, regular, and predictable attendance.
  • Working collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1 year's experience in the fire protection industry or other related industries such as construction, electronics, or sales distribution (preferred).
  • Working knowledge of National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) #10 Standards Servicing Guidelines and local authorities having jurisdiction (AHJ) requirements (preferred).
  • ICC/NAFED Fire Extinguishers Certification.
  • E4 Wet/dry Chemical Fire Extinguishing Systems, preferred.
  • FEX-1 Extinguishers, preferred.
  • Valid state-issued driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Working Conditions:

  • Able to constantly lift and carry up to 50 pounds unassisted.
  • Able to constantly lift and carry items such as toolboxes, tools, equipment, parts, extinguishers.
  • Ability to travel to multiple job sites each day.
