BayMark Health Services is seeking a highly organized and compassionate Certified Medical Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients.
Key Responsibilities:- Patient Scheduling and Intake: Schedule intake appointments, record and verify patient information, and prepare medical records for new and returning patients.
- Front Desk and Administrative Support: Check in patients, escort patients to and from the waiting room, interview patients, and measure vital signs, recording information in patient electronic charts.
- Clinical Support: Assist Medical Director/Program Physician/Nurse Practitioner with patient intakes and as needed, obtain blood specimens and collect non-blood specimens for laboratory testing, and prepare treatment rooms for examination of patients.
- Receptionist and Secretarial Duties: Act as a receptionist, perform secretarial duties, and prepare and maintain reports and records.
- Triage and Communication: Triage/manage questions, phone contacts, and fax messages, and file lab results into appropriate binders and distribute lab results to counselors.
- Team Collaboration: Attend weekly staff meetings and in-service trainings, and perform other duties as assigned.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED
- Certification: Medical Assistant must be certified or registered
- Skills: Phlebotomy, CPR/BCLS certification, working knowledge of MS Office and patient management software, excellent written and verbal skills, and ability to establish a positive rapport with patients.
- Experience: 12 years prior healthcare experience in a similar field and environment preferred
- Background Check: Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check
