Kitchen Helpers Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Kitchen Helper to join our team at Martin's Restaurant Systems, Inc. As a Kitchen Helper, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment, ensuring that all dishes and utensils are washed and put away, and assisting cooks with food preparation.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, including sweeping and mopping floors, taking out the garbage, and restocking supplies.
  • Assist cooks with food preparation, including washing, cutting, peeling, and slicing ingredients.
  • Pack takeout orders for customers and clear and clean tables for Waitstaff when necessary.
  • Refill condiments and other supplies at tables.

Requirements:

  • 1 year of restaurant experience required.
  • High school graduate or G.E.D. equivalent.
  • Able to multi-task efficiently, communicate effectively, and work in a fast-paced environment.

Skills:

  • Able to multi-task efficiently.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and practices.
  • Ability to use common kitchen equipment and appliances safely.
