About the Role

Spectrum's Product and Technology team is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Information Security Engineering to lead and implement corporate IT initiatives that support the company's strategy and goals. As a key member of the Information Security, Engineering team, you will be responsible for directing and organizing Information Security Engineering Application and Data Security functions, including secure code review, database security, and software applications programming, analysis, and administration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct and implement corporate IT initiatives that support the company's strategy and goals.
  • Organize and direct Information Security Engineering Application and Data Security functions, including secure code review, database security, and software applications programming, analysis, and administration.
  • Implement Information Security standards, policies, and/or master plans for the Information Security Engineering function.
  • Guide the development and acquisition of new technologies and tools to improve the organization's internal operations and data delivery.
  • Continually evaluate technology strategies and implement new technological directions.
  • Guide the organization in the deployment of new technologies and tools.
  • Advise Information Security leadership on enhancements to existing applications and implementation of new systems.
  • Provide strategic guidance and technical assistance to Information Security Engineering staff and business partners.
Requirements
  • 7-10 years of IT work experience.
  • 5-7 years of leadership experience.
  • 3-5 years of project management experience.
  • BA/BS in Information Technology, Computer Science, MIS, or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Basic computer skills, with proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Knowledge of computer and/or network systems, applications, procedures, and techniques.
  • Ability to learn and support new systems and applications.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of information technologies and methodologies related to assigned Information Security segment or area.
  • Demonstrated in-depth technical skills with knowledge of a wide variety of tools and technologies and extensive knowledge in a subset of these skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Application Security Posture Management.
  • Knowledge of secure code development best practices.
  • Knowledge of Database Security best practices.
  • Experience with securing custom code development.
  • Experience with Jenkins or GitLab.
  • Experience with database security products such as Imperva, Akamai, and F5.
