We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at St Marys Correctional Center in St Marys, West Virginia. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care to our incarcerated patients.
Job Responsibilities- Assist in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care under the clinical guidance of Registered Nurses.
- Direct and guide patient teaching activities commensurate with education and demonstrated competencies.
- Administer medications and interventions in accordance with provider instructions.
- Document nursing encounters, patient response, effectiveness, complications, etc., and communicate information to supervisory personnel and physicians.
- Maintain working and living areas and supplies in good order.
- Participate in a nursing care and treatment team and assist physicians as assigned.
- Current, unrestricted STATE Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) License.
- Current CPR Certification.
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
- Minimum of one (1) year of clinical experience; correctional experience preferred.
