About the Role

The Shelter Association of Washtenaw County is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our shelter and supervise our operations staff. Key Responsibilities
  • Operations Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the shelter, including monitoring the quality of care provided to our clients and staff.
  • Crisis Management: Directly assist staff in crisis situations and help empower them to handle crisis situations effectively.
  • Administrative Duties: Perform administrative tasks, including timesheets, scheduling, and data entry in our HMIS system.
  • Staff Supervision: Supervise and train operations staff, including hiring and orienting new staff members.
  • Quality Improvement: Assist the management team in developing and implementing methods to improve our agency's service delivery.
  • On-Call Responsibilities: Participate in our on-call rotation and be available to respond to emergencies and crises.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in business, management, or a related field.
  • Experience: 2 years of experience in management at a not-for-profit program, with a demonstrated understanding of homelessness and housing issues.
  • Skills: Strong computer skills, leadership and vision, critical thinking, and the ability to work well in a fast-paced community environment.
