Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Staff Software Security Engineer to join our team at Databricks. As a key member of our security engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing secure systems and architectures that protect our customers' data.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement secure systems and architectures
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate security risks
  • Develop and maintain secure coding practices and standards
  • Conduct security assessments and penetration testing
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging security threats and technologies

Requirements

  • 9+ years of experience in data security or related areas
  • Expertise in two or more of the following: cryptography, Kubernetes security, web security, governance, privacy, trust, safety, authentication, identity management, access control, key management, inter-service authentication, secure application frameworks, detection & response
  • Experience building systems at large scale internet companies
  • Leadership skills and experience to lead across functional and organizational lines
  • Strong communication skills to explain and evangelize data security to senior leaders across the company
  • Bias to action and passion for delivering high-quality solutions
  • MS or Ph.D. in Computer Science or related fields

What We Offer

Databricks is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range for this role is $220,400-$297,400 USD, and the total compensation package may include eligibility for annual performance bonus, equity, and benefits.
