Job Summary

Bethany is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Youth Specialist to join our Independent Living Plus (ILP) program. As a key member of our team, you will provide care and supervision to residents, ensuring their safety and well-being. Your role will involve mentoring and providing therapeutic support to residents, facilitating intake of new clients, and completing required documentation.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct care and supervision to residents, ensuring their safety and well-being
  • Mentor and provide therapeutic support to residents, helping them feel safe and assess their needs
  • Facilitate intake of new clients, ensuring a smooth transition into the program
  • Complete required documentation, including progress notes and incident reports
  • Assist with light cleaning, laundry, organizing, filing, and other administrative tasks
  • Attend trainings and staff meetings, staying up-to-date on program developments and best practices
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Prior experience working with youth from diverse cultures preferred
  • Computer skills sufficient to perform essential functions, including knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
  • Valid driver's license with at least 3 years driving experience in the U.S. to operate a vehicle on behalf of Bethany
  • Pass a criminal history screen, including state and local child protection agency registries
  • Pass required medical examinations and have physical ability to fulfill essential job functions
  • Pass an initial TB test
