Job Summary

The Marketing and Communications Manager is a key role within the School of Architecture at Princeton University, responsible for developing and implementing strategic communications plans to promote the School's programs and initiatives. This position will work closely with faculty, staff, and external partners to create engaging content and experiences that showcase the School's excellence in architecture and related fields.


Key Responsibilities

The Marketing and Communications Manager will be responsible for:


  • Developing and implementing comprehensive communications plans to promote the School's programs and initiatives.
  • Creating engaging content for various media platforms, including websites, social media, email, and print materials.
  • Collaborating with faculty and staff to develop and implement marketing and outreach strategies.
  • Managing the School's website and social media presence, including content creation and curation.
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with external partners and stakeholders.
  • Monitoring and analyzing communications-related metrics and data.
  • Assisting with the planning and execution of events and programs.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, the Marketing and Communications Manager will need:


  • A Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as marketing, communications, or public relations.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in a communications or marketing role.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong editing and writing skills, with the ability to edit for grammar, spelling, accuracy, format, and tone.
  • Proficiency with modern publishing and web-based communication methods/tools.
  • Experience with design, photography, and/or video animation is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:


  • A Master's degree in a related field.
  • Experience in a university or college setting.
  • Background or education in architecture, urban planning, the arts, or design.
