Lincoln Public Schools is seeking a highly skilled Family Literacy Specialist to lead the implementation of the Family Literacy Program at two schools. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the program's components throughout the school year, fostering strong relationships with parents, school staff, and community agencies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule and conduct parenting classes to promote family engagement and literacy skills.
- Collaborate with the English Language Instructor to develop effective learning plans.
- Meet with school administrators, teachers, and parents to establish a positive working relationship and ensure student success.
- Coordinate bilingual liaisons for classes as needed and develop strategies to promote family engagement.
- Work with family literacy childcare staff to create activities and set goals for students.
- Complete all required forms and reports in a timely manner.
Requirements:
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work with diverse populations and build strong relationships.
- Experience working with individuals from culturally and ethnically diverse backgrounds is preferred.
Compensation and Benefits:
- $20.97 per hour.
- 183-day calendar.
- 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM shift.
