About the Department
Our department offers a wide range of eye care services, from advanced refractive procedures to comprehensive treatment for various ocular conditions. Our dedicated faculty and staff are committed to delivering outstanding patient care and pioneering research in the field of ophthalmology.
Position Overview
- Available Positions: 1
- Team Composition: Collaborate with a diverse group of 12 ophthalmologists, 6 optometrists, 16 residents, and 3 fellows, specializing in areas such as retina, cornea, and glaucoma.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Approximately 90% of duties will be clinical in nature.
- About 10% will involve teaching, educational activities, and administrative responsibilities.
- Clinic Locations: Two accessible clinics in Columbia.
- Advanced Equipment: Utilize state-of-the-art technology including Optos, Fundus Photography, ERG, OCT/HRT, Humphrey Visual Field, A-Scan, and B-Scan.
- Outpatient Facilities: Features 3 examination rooms and dedicated medical support staff.
- Growth Opportunities: Engage in departmental development, contribute to the education of students and residents, and participate in research initiatives.
Qualifications Required
- MD/DO degree from an accredited institution.
- Completion of fellowship training in oculoplastic or orbital surgery.
- Preference for board-certified or board-eligible candidates.
