We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director, Underwriting Research to join our team at USAA. As a key member of our underwriting team, you will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with federal flood and state residual market regulatory and legislative requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement underwriting processes and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Analyze and interpret regulatory changes and communicate their impact to the team.
  • Develop and negotiate vendor contracts to meet business needs.
  • Manage flood insurance and residual market processes and programs to ensure compliance and effectiveness.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or 4 years of related experience.
  • 8 years of experience in Property & Casualty, Project Management, Process Engineering, Business Process or Risk Management.
  • 3 years of direct team lead or management experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of relevant industry practices, trends, and regulatory requirements.
