Staff Registered Nurse RN Float Women's Services

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in Waco, Texas. As a Float Women's Services RN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.
Job Summary:The Registered Nurse (RN) Float is a licensed professional who utilizes the BSWH nursing professional practice model to coordinate patient care delivery by the healthcare team. Using the nursing process, the RN assesses the patient, identifies nursing diagnoses based on responses to health problems, develops and implements an individualized plan of care, and evaluates the patient's response.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct accurate clinical assessments according to practice standards and identify patient and family needs.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate the nursing plan of care, modifying it as necessary to meet clinical outcomes.
- Systematically evaluate the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice, including nursing-sensitive indicators, and participate in quality/performance improvement initiatives.
- Creates an attentive, helpful, safe, and therapeutic environment for patients, families, and staff, developing therapeutic relationships and maintaining appropriate boundaries.
- Recognize, appreciate, and incorporate a patient's and family's unique differences into an individualized plan of care.
- Preserves and protects the confidentiality, autonomy, dignity, and rights of patients and families, representing their concerns and creating an individualized plan that accurately reflects patient and family values and goals.
- Facilitates learning for patients and families, nursing staff, other members of the healthcare team, and community, integrating appropriate education throughout the continuum of care.
- Works collaboratively and interdependently with colleagues and community to develop and implement an integrated plan of care, open and sensitive to all team members' unique contributions.
- Grad of an Accredited Program or 2 years of work experience above the minimum qualification.
- Registered Nurse (RN) certification.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
