Position Overview
We are seeking an Escrow Officer to enhance our Indianapolis branch, recognizing that our employees are our greatest asset. This role is set in a dynamic, fast-paced environment focused on customer service and transaction finalization. The ideal candidate will possess strong decision-making skills, effective communication abilities, and the capacity to multitask within a collaborative team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee real estate escrow transactions by identifying necessary requirements.
  • Act as a neutral intermediary among parties, ensuring adherence to company policies while minimizing risks.
  • Manage the proper handling and distribution of funds in accordance with contractual obligations and company regulations.
  • Prepare and share regular reports on the status of escrow accounts with relevant stakeholders.
  • Examine property titles, mortgages, and trust deeds for accuracy.
  • Draft legal documents required for property sales.
  • Conclude transactions by recording and filing necessary documents, as well as preparing and distributing closing statements and titles.
Qualifications:
  • Experience in managing escrow transactions, ideally as an escrow assistant.
  • Willingness to embrace new technologies and adapt to evolving workflows.
  • Strong customer service orientation with a professional demeanor.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, proficient in various communication methods.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, organizational abilities, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team to exceed customer expectations.
  • Comfortable mentoring and supporting the development of new talent.
  • Proficient in MS Office and quick to learn new software and technologies.
  • Valid licensing/certification as required by state regulations.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
