Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide essential speech therapy services within a school environment. This role involves working with students across various grade levels, ensuring they receive the support they need to succeed academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech therapy services to students in grades K-12.
- Collaborate with educational staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify students' speech and language needs.
- Provide direct and indirect therapy services, ensuring guaranteed hours.
- Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and therapy sessions.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in speech therapy.
- Active Illinois state SLP license is required.
- Possession of an active or pending Professional Educator License (PEL) or ability to obtain upon offer.
- ASHA certification is considered an advantage.
- Previous experience in a school setting is preferred but not mandatory.
